The Interior Time for Painting
On the 3rd July it was time to repair the seat frames as in the Mark 2 Mercedes the seat frames get to the stages that the paint peels off and the poles rust. So on the above date the seat frames were primed and will be repainted black and as you can see some of the seat frames have already been repainted black by Kurt Williams and both of us were happy with the way they came up.
We inspect to have all the seat frames black by next week and also Painting on the extirior will begin once all the seat frames have been repainted and also the interior cleanned and removing the add racks from inside.
Here are images of the Interior What it looked like before above.
The Paint Scrapeing completed
Now showing the white paint has now been scraped off the roof was next up for sanding and also some work to start on the Interior like removing the vinal seat cushions and seat backs because as this bus will be restored into the mark 6 livery this bus had fabrick blue seats in in and still has some still remaining. Other things like blinkers and the lights at the back have been removed and the original blinkers are to be refitted.
The Paint Scrapeng begins
The 1st day

The first day of the restoration on m/o2135 started on the 11th April 2010. The first stages were to give it a wash for a start then to remove stickers which were the red sticker , fleet numbers and the Please Signal driver Sticker. Also the add racks from the exterior were also removed.
Removing the glue from the red corporate sticker was a big job which took about 2 days to get done and the gutters on the rear side were also removed for refitting later on in the restoration prossess.
